Had to 2 implants done ten days ago, one on either side, which meant mush and slush since. No mercy shown by my family, just teasing reminders that my daughter once was on fluids for 6 months after an operation due to a fractured jaw: soups, smoothies and mash. And did I lose weight? Some hope!

I will pray that if you have any pain, it is minimal. I had dental surgery with 1 extraction a couple of years ago and its no too bad after the first 2-3 days. Buy lots of soup and ice cream to make shakes! love you and hope this is a breeze.;)

Dear Meg, I hope all went well. I'm sure it's not easy ... I too have been undergoing lots of dental work this year, so much that I can't get my crown this year - all out of benefits and used all $ last year on root canal. Oh dear girl, sometimes I think dentures would be better-LOL - I hope it doesn't hurt to laugh. You rest girl and hope they'll give you lots of pain killers. hugs and flowers 4u

It seems that I still had the jaw infection, from the last 20 months, it had NOT been cleared up at all. (explains the constant pain, earaches, headaches and possibly even the increased tinnitus).
There's so much swelling & even external bruising, I look like I've gone a round with Rocky and with the new bottom partial plate going straight in, I feel like I have a mouth full of jaw-breakers, extremely uncomfortable.
I really empathise with anyone having dental work done and my new advice for life is DON'T NEGLECT YOUR TEETH!
Far better to have regular checkups and cavities repaired while they're tiny, than suffering through the avoidable pain & expense of massive repair work as well as running the risk of getting a jaw infection that is so hard to cure. I'm off to sip a cuppa then have a lie down.
Oh well the upside is i might just lose a few pounds while i'm on my soft diet. LOL! Sincere thank, hugs n roses, Gummy
