approach the site owners. I feel a little funny asking for something for free. Any suggestions?

You should not feel bad for asking after all thanks to your help they got the name. I believe that if they offered something to you they should keep up with it so, if I was you I will send them a friendly e-mail telling them that you are just wondering how long will it take for you to receive your price. *2U

If you feel it is a legitimate site and you in fact did submit a suggestion AND you don't think you are being scammed, write and tell them exactly what you told us here. Sorry, I don't mean to put a damper on your prize, I just have had some bad experiences with "you have won".;)

Thanks for the concern and suggestions. It is a legitimate site. It's San Francisco Stitch Co. They sent me an email telling me I won on 7/22.
Mickey---
Thank you so much for the beuatiful name suggestion... we've decided to
use it! May we use your first name, town and city in our group announcement? Just let us know what they are if we may. The set will be releasing early next week and you'll be receiving your free copy then... just let us know what format you'd like! Thanks again for your input, it is really appreciated!

Sincerely, Carol
That's the email I got and the designs are up on the site. I hope it's just an oversite and they didn't mean to forget me.

Mickey , You have such good answers allready but be careful . I think Adelmaries suggestion would be safe. I know sometimes we think that some things are to good to be true. I recently won a basket of Plaid paints, brushes and book and it made me wonder if it was real and it turned out OK and I hope this works out for you. A flower for you.

If you received an email they have enough info on you so why cant they email the designs to you. They do not need to know where you are. And they can use your user name. I don't go anywhere I feel uncomfortable. They are only asking you to give them that info if you would like them to use that info. I would in that case Thank them and just say that you would prefer to not disclose those details. first name and country would be enough info any way. They may be a legit site and I believe them to be. But how ever you don't know who else reads these notices for other reasons. Hope they will oblige you on what ever action you choose to use.

Thanks again for your helpful input. I just sent them an email. I did reply originally with my name, town and format. Hopefully I'll get a reply soon.

Just thought I'd let you know that sfx-co just emailed me the Damaris set. Seems there was a problem with the emai going through. This set is stunning and I can't wait to use it. Now I have to think of a project that will do it justice. Thanks again for your suggestions.

Thanks Shirlene. Biblical names were so popular in that period of history. There was a little girl on the Mayflower by the same name. Can you tell that I'm a bit of a history buff? Just don't ask me dates.
