You came to the right place for the answer! I had the same question concerning my Janome. (Isn't it strange that
the format is not listed in the manuals!) Someone in this group always has the answer!! (Thanks, Cutes!!) And welcome to you Fayewhitaker.

I have the Brother SE350 also. I use PED Basic for my card reader/writer and a Vikant rewritable memory card 4mb. You can DL in any format and then use a software program to convert. You can only use PES format for your machine. *

Pes is a popular format. You will find many, many designs online. More designs than you have money or time to sew up. I know that you're going to have fun, fun, fun. Also, this is the perfect place to read up on your machine and ask questions. Lots of people have your machine. *4U

I have a Brother machine too which uses PED in PES format. I download all my designs in PES. Have fun with your machine and welcome to the "cute" family - it's a very friendly site where you can ask any question and someone will come up with the answer. You can upload and show your work if you wish. Another *4U Jo

You will need to get your embroidery in PES format, that is what the Brother machine reads, I know you will love your machine, I love mine (on my second Brother machine) upgraded to be able to do more wonderful embroidery. Happy sewing :)
