how can you tell if when setting sewing attributes you are setting the correct density. i use pe-design and it has a default setting of 114 but is there a general rule or anything?

I don't know either but thought there might be an answer. At least my non-answer will get you bumped back to the top and another flower.

thanks for all the bumps. my question is the correct density or general rule on pe-design 6.0 or if you know a good place to ask advice about it on the net... the pe design booklet and manual does not go into it at all.

I'm just doing my first steps with pe-design, but density depends of the fabric ..
That's all I know

I usually go to the shop where I purchase all my supplies, they are very knowledgeable and have helped me out many times with things I needed to know but the book does not go into.
Good luck

Carla,
Carolyn Keber is an excellent teacher... I'd recommend her tutorials any day of the week. I have several for Embird and LOVE them.

I'm using a Janome 9700 machine. For me, I test it out on 0 to 2 scale. So far it seem that 1.4-1.5 is the setting for me using the machine. So i will stick to it once stitches turn out great.
Previously, the threads are like looping loosely on top or bottom of the fabrics. so i really try increase/reducing the setting on my machine. i dont look at sewing attributes though.
