My daughter asked me if I can embroider on leather?

Yes, always use a sharp, usually an 80 and if your machine has a start/end from the center, and your design doesn't have a stitch there, you will want to change it to start from the 1st stitch and end with the last stitch or you will have a permanent hold punched in the center of the design.

Charlie, there is one thing to say about embroidery on leather and that is you don't get a second try - but if the first try works - you will love it - I have stitch many projects on leather and have enjoyed everyone of them - I also use a leather needle, as Teri sugguested. *4U

I knew that, that is why I wanted to ask before I committed to it. *

As you can see several of us have tried with success. I read a tutorial before I tried so I had the right needle, start position etc. Can't say I'll do it again any time soon but if the right project comes to mind I'll feel easier about getting started. Good luck.
