Spread out offcuts of thread thickly between two pieces of WSS Baste stitch in a circle around thread and then stitch all over the thread ( zig zag and straight ) when done soak in sugar disolved with a little water (sugar starch) turn a small bowl upside down and mould stitching over it and put another bowl on top to hold it. when dry trim it up and you have a pretty bowl

sugar attracts bugs in australia. and humidity colapses it you can do the same with white glue or wood glue it dries clear and is stronger you lay plastic wrap over the surface you are molding it to. you can mold to any shape a scallop bowl looks good too.

This kind of reminds me of when I was in grammar school. We used to take different colored string, and wrapping and pasting it around jars. So, this would be a nice project for the little ones too. *4u

Been thinking about this and how it is done, you could also make some coasters. But I still think about the turkey ibrow made, he was sooooo colorful.
