Sqdancer, I have had very bad luck with Yahoo groups, they overload my e-mail so much that I have trouble recieving the e-mails that I really want. Hugs.

Hi, D! I belong to lots of Yahoo Groups, and I set up a separate Yahoo mail address just for groups. Also, when you join the group, you can make a choice of how you want to get mail: Individual e-mails, daily digest, special notices, web only. Just check the special notices one, and you won't be swamped with mail. Be careful, because some groups require you to be on individual e-mail, because the group owner is the only one who can post and you'll only get her updates and advertising, but in most cases that's only 1 mail a week. I do not ever use my "real" e-mail for anything including embroidery stuff, because I can't be bothered with all the "forwards" clogging up the box. Try making a new yahoo address just for embroidery, that'll help. Good Luck, Marji

Good idea!!! how do you budget time to check more than one E- Mail address? I am always 2 days behind with one address!! You are supper woman!

Katy, my main mail deletes anything with FW in the subject line from the server, I don't even see it. The others, I get to when I get to. That's why I have different addresses. Line, I have one for my animal group, so I know what those messages are gonna be about. And if someone insists on sending lots of forwards, I block them. It's actually faster to have more addresses with Yahoo, it kind of sorts your messages before you even get there, if you know what I mean. I don't have to poke thru embroidery stuff to get to my animal stuff, they're in 2 different places. "Many addresses make light work", hee hee hee. M

You can minimize the ammount of e-mails you get by setting up your groups on dily digest of special notice only.

I am the same as marjialexa, I have a separate email address for groups and I have most of them on special notices.

Once you are on these Yahoo's, it is also almost impossible to get off of them. Hugs.

I know what you mean! I have most of them set up to receive only special notices, or daily digest! That way I can choose easily what I read and what I don't. But I don't have the time of day to read so many emails!
