Does anyone know a good tutorial site for knitting? I can start and finish, but only seem to be able to make rectangles. Big joke to my family!;)

try this site : KnittingSecrets@DRGBooks.com

I learned by watching others...do you have a local yarn shop...they are like stitchers too...want to help you out no matter what. I always like about.com and there are programs on TV that have knitting...HGTV Carol Duvall had some shows for beginners. (I know Carol isn't on any more but they do have her taped) If not any of the above.. try DIY.com (do it yourself network)

First time I see this label "personal". I don't know of any tutorials, but I hope blhamblen's help you out. Increasing and decreasing is so easy once you know how to. Any questions you have, I'll be glad to answer!

Wow, this was under my "personal" tab, which I just saw!
I don't know about knitting, but maybe Veronika used this as a test question? Keep knitting squares, Jerri, hee hee hee. I can only knit scarves, it's just a loooong square! Love you, Marji

Here is a top of the line learning resource. I had forgotten about this link, but just received a newsletter from the. Don't forget they have free patterns, too.

Hi jrob, hope you've got it all sorted out by now sweetie - it's almost 2 months since you posted this. And just remember that while your family are joking about you - they're leaving everyone else alone, haha! Hugs and flowers for you, and keep going with the knitting, it's loads of fun, and you can always stitch the rectangles/squares together to make garments or whatever.

Oh dear, not sure that I like this *Personal* one - I can't post pics or give flowers to anyone, that's so sad - I would if I could!

Sorry to be so late responding but if you are still having problems and all else has failed, try your local Library. There are sure to be knitting books in the adult craft section or even elementary knitting books in the kids section. Can you log on to a library central to you? That way you can also d/load extracts applicable. Hope this helps.

Thanks all! Sometime you should go on Google Maps and check on North Georgia....It is completely covered by various colors of knitting yarns in a beautifully done rectangle. :)
