Congrats Tinfriend - I also have the same machine as you have now, bought it in August 2005! Unfortunately I have a "Monday piece" as we say here in Finland. Finally I carried it to my dealer for service (in January 2008), and the "problem" wasn`t in me! My machine`s needle pole( is this the right word?) wasn`t in a right place. From February I have really started to learned machine embroidery , with helping my Cute friends. I have learned so much just reading other`s questions and answers - Thanks! This is a great place to learn! *4U

ohhhhh, I have one, too (with Embroidery Arm). She's a beauty and sews like a dream. I hope you got the BSR if you are going to quilt with it. You will be amazed at how professional your quilting looks after about 3-4 hrs practice initially.

Yes I did get the BSR & Walking foot too! I will indeed practise as soon as all my lessons start! Can't wait to begin .... Monday!

you have a great hubby like I do.........aren't they sweet when they want to be. Mine got me mine for Christmas but I haven't had a lot of time to sew with it yet.I just found out the thread I was using was causing my problem. Maybe now I can do something.Congrat and have fun. *4u

Thanx! Yes "incorrect" thread is nearly always one of the main problems with seing and especially overlockers! NEVER use just any brand - it can cause you so much trouble & of course MONEY too in repair bills! My son is a sewing machine technician so I know only too well!

I just HAD to share my wonderful news with all my new cute friends!! I have SO much to learn with this new machine and not sure how long it will take! LOL I DON'T make clothes so it will only be my Quilting for the time being! BUT I am so thrilled I will be willing to learn ANYTHING! LOL *4U!
