program. Thursday AM I had a notice from my virus program (a day late and a dollar short)! Anyway, it's been in the computer shop since Thursday getting "cleaned", and I just got it back today! I haven't been able to hook it up until now because we have had strong thunderstorms all day long, and I didn't want to take a chance on it getting zapped by the lightening. Anyway, it's good to be back. I missed all of my Cute friends!...Barb
PS. Am now using a different security program!!!!

Glad to hear you got it fixed and to see you around. I am kind of peeky when it comes to DL stuff from sites that I don't know. I am lately just sticking to the sites I am familiar with.Do you know what site was it that you got the virus from???

That's the problem, I regularly visit my embroidery sites and have never had a problem. What a surprise!

glad ur back on line , but itoo had the same problem 2wks back , had to reformat the computer,and as my machine also needs the computer could not work , the virus was so bad that it did not let the machine work,or reload its program.hence had to reformat. cutes be careful of what u download.

I'm not sure where I got it. I was going through all of my embroidery sites, and I probably have 50 of them.

What security program were you using, and which one did you switch to? I use Macafee and it seems to work well for me. But, I don't download from sites I'm not familiar with. I don't need free designs that badly. I figure I could buy lots of designs from Embroidery Library for what it would cost me to get my computer fixed! I sure would like to know about the security program though, because my Macafee is up for renewal. thanks, Marji

I was using Bit Defender; it's #1 according to Consumer Reports. Well, not in my book. I switched to AVG. You can get a free, basic program off of the internet, and those who use it say that's all you need. Also, the computer place recommended it. I'm already impressed with it.
