you can save it ony format. Get a copy of Wilcom True Sizer (free) and you can convert it to pes fromat. There is also free online format conversion at embroidery designs.com all you have to do is sign up they are both free so now you have two options

I just downloaded Sohie Sew the other day but really don't quite understand it. I know how to import a design that's about it. I wish someone would just give an example of one thing how to do. I want to learn to digitize but don't understand the lingo that well and don't know where to start. HELP!

Have you followed their tutorials, they teach you step by step how to. Easiest way is to open the program and open a tutorial, you can stop that any time and make the same steps in the program, switching from one to the other as needs be. Once you have made your first design that way, try another one. After that you have gained enough knowledge to try out the different tools. Save your design-to-be often, or you have to redo all steps if something goes wrong.

Do you have a program like embird or buzztools? If you have a program where you can change the format then you can save it in eg Jef and then transfer it to your pes. When you are working in Sophie Sew please save your work often.

Download the free Wilcom Truesizer software and convert the design to pes. Have Tajima also (free download) and use both to convert to pes, b/c between the two programs you can convert any file.

Hi, Stephanie! Let us know how you're doing with this problem, we'd love to know. Digitizing is such fun, I would encourage everyone to try it at some point! I don't know the Sophie Sew program, I have Janome's Digitizer Pro, but if you follow Martine's (mops) advice, sounds like the tutorials would be a big help to you. Is there a possibility that your embroidery machine can also use a different format? My Brother Innov-is4000D uses PES and DST. You might check your owner's manuel and if your machine uses more than one format, perhaps Sophie Sew can save in that format. It's worth a try. Best wishes for success. ***
