I do know that at one time or another my dad had to go BUT it was the circumstances as to how and where he died - THAT is what I cannot accept and I am still so bitter about that! So I have so much to deal with and to try and get over - Trying hard as life IS so short and I know my Dad would have wanted me to get on with it BUT he was SO unhappy in the OAH and wanted to go home to my mom but he was not wanted there!!!!! Best I not talk about this as I just start digging it all up again as it is I can hardly see what I am typing now!

For all the Hugs

Just wanted to Thank you ALL so very much for being here for me - it made such a difference to me as I am going thru so much at the moment!! God Bless You ALL from the very bottom of my Soul!!!

Take care!

We love you and feel your pain, your Dad has no more pain physical or emotional take some relief in that sweetheart. He would not want you to waste one moment being angry or sad, so honor him and embrace the love you had for eachother. I know it's hard, we are only human. *

My dear I can feel your grief, but don't let it overwhelm U.. We do care. I lost my dad 2 yrs. ago under similar cirumstances. He did not raise me his sister did. He had Alz. but still knew myself & my bro. My stepmon & 1/2 sisters put him far away n a N.H. He died n my arms & I lived 8 hrs away. I got up one morn & said "I've got to go see dad".Not knowing things had changeed since I was there. He was dying when I got there. No one there, the facility had bn told to just call the funeral home after he died & they would handle everything. He lived another day & night & I never left him. All he ever wanted was to go home also. He couldn't understand why he wasn't home & me & my brother's hands had bn tied, two 1/2 sisters had lawye husbands 1 worked for the attourney general for stat of Fla. where daddy had lived & worked 4 over 50 yrs.

Oh Dear Friend, I am so sorry that I didn't see your posts until now. Losing a parent is so difficult and for us girls it can be devastating if you let it.
There is a grieving process to go through, there is a time to cry, a time to be sad, a time to be angry, a time to ask WHY? Why do we have to die? Why does it hurt so much? Why can't I have just one more hug, one more conversation, one more smile? When will the hurting end? The time it takes to go through all this varies with each individual person and I truly believe you should let your grief take its course. When you want to cry, cry. When you want to scream, scream. When you want to throw a tantrum, throw one. But set yourself a limit on the time you will do these things, it will overcome you, so let it, but after your set time, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour, whatever time you have decided on, Stop yourself and take the same amount of time to think of some good memories, times when you laughed together, times of special shared moments. Eventually, in about thirty years the tears and tantrums will stop and you'll think of all those memories you recalled and a special smile will come to your face and a special warmth will fill your heart and you'll realise it doesn't hurt quite so much as it once did. Take comfort, small as it is, that you are not alone. We all have to face this reality, sooner or later, so we feel your suffering and we are all here for you. Loving hugs and roses, Meganne

Oh, dear, I just saw this. I do know how it feels, because I lost my Daddy too, and I was Daddy's Girl for a long time. I've also lost my Mom, Brother, 2 husbands & 4 of my dearest friends. It hurts! Meganne gave you some good advice, really. I have resentment issues with some things also. You can't help *feeling* the way you do, but you don't have to dwell on it and feed it. I know it's hard, and probably always will be. But pound your fist on something, feel the anger, then most importantly *let the anger GO*. Dwelling there doesn't help, believe me. Been there, done that, got the psych meds. It won't help Dad, and it will hurt you. Hugs to you my dear, PM me if you care to. Marji

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. I lost mine 7 years ago and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him. Just take comfort knowing that he is in a much better place with no pain or suffering.
Here is a poem titled "My Father" that is posted on my computer. Hope you like it.

My Father

God blessed me with a father
Who meant all the world to me,
And oh how I admired him…
For all he tried to be.
This father was so special,
Likewise so kind and true.
He loved the world around him,
And his friends were many, too.
He cared for all about him
In his kind and gentle way,
And then when days grew darker,
He gave up and went away.
He’s gone to meet his maker,
This father, oh so dear.
And somewhere in the yonder
He must know no pain or tear.
He’s taught me so many lessons,
This father, dear of mine.
Gone-but not forgotten
Within my heart and mind.

There is a grieving process that we all go through. And no, you do not ever forget the love you had for your dad, but it does become a little easier. We all still wish that we had one more day, one more hug, or just one more "I love you." That was the last words that my daddy said to me. He died the next day.

Sometimes bringing things out in the open and hashing them out is the best step towards healing. We're always here for you. Just let us know how we can help you above and beyond our love and prayers for you...
Hugs and prayers,

I know how difficult it can be to lose a loved one. It just doesn't seem right. It can take a long, long time to get used to the idea. I now believe that you don't really get over it, but I do believe that you come to terms with it. I wish you the best in your grief. We all deal with out deal with it differently, but I do know that you should allow your tears to flow and get plenty of rest and relaxation. My prayers are with you and yours.
