I worked at an embroidery co. that charged 9.99 for 1st line of lettering and 5.00 for each additional. Designs were charged by # of stchs. (example 1000 stchs 5.00 and up from there.) This was in addition to the charge for the item to be stitched. Logo's that had to be digitezed were a whole new ballgame.

Me I feel guilty 4 charging anything I love doing it so well, most will tell U to charge so much per nr, of stitches n design, I usually charge according to what I think they can pay me. I do not advertise, & really am not out to make money. I know some who charge $1.00 for 1,000 stitches. I would try to find out what others charge n the general area U live if I were U. *

debleerl, welcome to the 'CUTE' family - you will get many answers - the rule of thumb would be $1 or every 1,000 stitches - but you will never get that - I think you did to take into consideration - what you are stitches out - how many hoopings you will be making - what stabilizers and thread that you will be using, along with the material - I usually try to charge $6-12 a hooping - if it is in my smaller hoops (4x4 & 5x7) but if I have to use my larger hoop - there are going to be more stitches in it so - I charge $10-18. Good luck - don't under sell your work - but work with some people if you can. I give most of mine away, but have had some succuess with lots of work - that others have purchased, too! Shirlene

I charge $5. - $10 (Australian) depending on the size of the hooping, I know our local business charges $10

I have seen some where in another site what you shoul charge and I cant rember wher it is I don't know if I saved it amoung my many thousands of tutorals if i find it i will let you know.don't hold me to it though I do have thousands it is another addiction of mine hints tips and such.

The going rate in the Atlanta area is $10. for a Monogram or name. I don't know the rate for designs. I am working on a design presently that has almost 20,000 stitches. Does that mean it would be a $20. job?
