I bought some nice bra & panties sets with embroidery on them. While this morning I discovered as I was looking at how nice the embroidery was, that the stablizer they used was tear away...ummmm I guess I am still learning I thought tear away was not good on stretch material. I guess too that industrial does it different...FIESTA ANYHOW

I have noticed this too, on a nightshirt I bought just cause I had to have the cute embroidery, it was a kitty. Beautiful work, including applique, on a t-shirt type material. I was examining it carefully to see how it was done, and I also noticed that they used tearaway. Maybe there is some industrial-strength tearaway for use with commercial machines? Dunno, the pros may have some secrets they're not sharing, hee hee hee. Marji

Tearaway is used in a lot of commerical embroidery as after being laundered the embroidered area will have stability and we won't think we've purchased a cheapo product.

I worked at an emb. shop and we used way more tearaway. It was recommended cuz it was cheaper in bulk.
