Creative Machine Embroidery Mag. I have a Babylock Ellegante and have had nothing but trouble with this thread. I have called Thread Art to tell them, they keep saying there is nothing wrong with their thread. They suggested using a 90/14 needle, this I did and still had the same problems. I have no problem with other brands, RA, Coats&Clark, Madeira,or Sukly. I do not know if this Thread Art thread will work with other machines. I do know that brands of thread are just as, or more important than stabilizer. I learned this the hard way. Hugs!!

Is this the same Thread Art that sells on eBay? I've though of buying from them in the past, perhaps not now Jo

I've used it and it has done a beautiful job for me. I also use the 75/11 needle. I have a Brother Innovis 4000D. It has done just as good as the brother thread.

yes some machines are stubborrn i am lucky i have a brother he 120 and it takes any kind i have thread art thread myself and use it for it is the only thread i have anyway plus some sulky now

I have also learned that some machines do not like certain threads. These threads work fine in other machines. Don't have a reason for this, just know this happens.

I got a "deal" on thread on eBay from Radiant Threads. $.92 a spool. My machine Brother SE350 hates it. I can use those little Singer spools of thread that you get in a sewing kit and not have probs, but that thread NO WAY. Maybe we should swap out? *

I have 4 Pfaff machines. Two emb. and 2 straight stitch. None of them will tolerate Radiant Threads. I too got a deal on Ebay on Varigated and Twists. It's not such a deal if it won't work. I only use it when I'm gonna be right on top of the machine.

I don't have the varigated or twist just regular 100% poly. Machine just doesn't like it.

I've used threadart threads without a problem. The only problem Ive had is on the spools of thread that have a small core on either end, kinda like the center of the spool. Anyway they don't feed well without tangling and even with a thread net I have terrible problems. I bought a whole set of these thru ebay and can't wait til their gone. I can use them on small projects, but not if I plan on leaving the room. I don't think it's the thread I think it's the spool. Maybe thats your problem? Good luck.

When I first started embroidery work, I bought Schmetz embroidery needles(all sizes), and had trouble with some threads also. I discovered Organ Titanium needles. They are wonderful. The first ones I bought from my dealer and paid too much for them. I now order them from All Stitch. They sell wholesale to anyone. I really think it's the needle you use and not the thread. Does any one else feel this way??

Schmetz makes a titanium also. I read somewhere to never buy the variety size packs of needles that the quality wasn't as good as a pack of just 75/11's not sure if this is true or not.
100 needles for $20 is a great deal!

Quite funny threads seem to have a mind of their own and certainly have a memory. I have a designer 1 and find that the larger cones when I use them don't work properly when I put them on the machines spool. Instead I put them on the sewing table in front of the machine and then thread the machine in the normal way and that stopped the problems I was having with breakage etc. Amazing that something so simple fixed my problem.

I am sorry to hear this, maybe you just got a bundle of bad thread. I have not used that brand, sorry can't give you any feedback. I have always used Madeira since I started and have not have any issues so I have sticked to it. *2U

Been there, done that too. I now use RA as it's the least expensive of the top brands. Also, my dealer carries it (among others) and I can see what I'm buying.

I bought Madeira thread when I bought my machine it broke all the time so I changed to QA it was much better but then the designs sewed out funny , after reading and talking to you guys , I bought new Madeira thread , it is diferent than the first lot , much better and not even the same colours or feel , I think we have fake thread out there so watch where you buy your thread

I have not used Thread Art, but the only thread I had trouble with was black Sulky, other blacks and all else sews fine in my Hus machine. Sorry you are having probs, and thanks for the tips, I considered Thread Arts, but hadn't made the jump! I am now glad of that! Thanks, & a *4All

Put it up for sale on ebay. You know your machine better than anyone and if the baby cries when you give it Thread arts thread, give it what it wants! (smile);)

I know what the frustration you are feeling is like! My Brother Innovis 2500D won't let me use Coats and Clarks. It's like a little baby being fed...it just spits it out. I think the best deal on the net is Marathon thread from Terradon. It's $1.75 for 1100 yds, and the sheen on the stitched design is beautiful!
