Shirlene, I love the Blues, Teal,Green,Purple,Mauves and Pinks. But I am picky on the shades. I love bright colours and I really love the Electric Blue, Teal and Rainbows. I also love the varigated cottons. You could say I love all the bright colours and mint green but not the drab colours. They are boring but sometimes you need them to make the other colours look better. This is too hard to pick just one.
I love alll your angels but I think I like the the light yellow? on the end.
That light one on the end would look ever so nice on a tree I think.

Ricky and Brenda, I had a Blue and Yellow kitchen once and I think it was my favorite. It had blue and white {blue danube} wallpaper and yellow counter tops and a cobalt blue floor and matching yellow cushions across a window seat. I still have the Blue Danube, blue and white dishes as I can't bare to get rid of them!!

Don't know what happened shirlene but my answer is gone, here is an answer again. I love the warm colours like pink, lilac, light purple etc. I like creme as well because it goes well together with a lot of coulours. Lately I have become fond of pastel yellow, green and lavender. But that is because these are the colors we use to tell the triplets apart. I have a steady supply of those colors I use for the girls. I personally am a Blue person. I love all shades of blue and tend to wear blue almost exclusively. It's my favorite for decor too. When we remodeled our kitchen the whole thing was designed around the blue corian countertops that I picked out first!!!

Yes Maryio, I am the same, most of all my clothes are blue but I am trying to add some other colours for a change. I made curtains for the lounge and of course I wanted something different and bright so I have striped curtains of perisian blue,teal and yellow with thinner stripes of gold. They look great and two years later I found a carpet square to match. It was worth the wait to find it.

Thank you - I like them as well - obviously - my favorite color is peach and teal - because love them both. If I can't have one - I prefer the other. I lean to peach first.

Your angles are beautiful. I realize you also had to wind bobbins in each color. My favorite color is purple and my favorite flower is the purple iris. I loved purple since high school. I had a matching purple sweater and skirt. Later I had brief spells with red, aqua and even earth tones. My husband hated purple, and after the divorce, I made my full swing back to purple. I also have a passion for Amethyst jewelry which was dangerous while I worked in a jewelry store for 10 yrs. after I retired.

My favourite colour is a shade of blue that looks purple in certain lights. It looks blue, but put it next to a real blue and it looks purple. However all your angels look lovely, I have difficulty deciding which colours look best for fsl. I usually end stitching out several different colours also.

I'm a GREEN girl. Must be the Irish side of me. Pretty much any color of green. As for thread, I'm facinated with the holographic threads but haven't found any up here yet. And I might add that I have absolutely no idea what I would use them for but I'm sure I would think of something once I got my hands on them.

Had a nice, long family weekend and returned home half an hour ago. Put a load of towels in the washing machine and then came here. Favourite colour: definitely BLUE, from the palest to the darkest navy, for clothes, in the kitchen, the tiles in the toilet, you name it. For embroidery a washed out sky blue or a light lavender(which - I know - is not exactly blue..)

took me a while to answer this, and its difficult to answer lol. for clothes I would definitely say peacock blue is my absolute favourite. when it comes to decor I am a big fan of blue and white china but then again I try to decorate according to the season so at the moment oranges, reds and browns dominate our apartment decorations! guess I'm a little bit way too complicated loool and when it comes to embroidery for myself I guess I would go to peacock blue again, I simply love that colour.

My fave's are always bright, bold colors in cool tones. Hard to pick just one so here are a few of my fave's: fusia, bright blue, and teal.

Rita, those are each pretty colors - thank you - the ANGELS are FSL (free standing lace) that means that it is stitched on WSS (water soluble stabilizer) and you use the same color thread in the top and the bobbin - you rinse out the WSS after completing the design - all that is left is the thread - that becomes the ANGEL. Try it - you might like it, too.

I prefer the pale pastel colors, especially the green and lavender and pinks although my personal color to wear is blue or black and white. So it depends exactly what the item is. For the angels you have shown, I like the lavender the best.

Red, Red & more Red! I have an obsession with red roses and when I can not figure out what design to put on something... it is going to be a red rose in some shape or form. Most everything I have done for myself has been roses or some type of flowers or an indian design with alot of peach,teal, and coral. I am stuck in a rut! I see that your post from long ago has resurfaced. This is a fun question. There is no doubt that I'm an all shades of purple/fuchsia/blues/reds oriented person when choosing my favorite colors. It's still really just too hard to choose a specific color when the Lord created such a spectacular spectrum of colors on this amazing world we live in. I love the the "true" basic colors, the first eight you would see in a childs box of crayons.
My favorites change every few years, growing up my favorite was blue, reason, because I had dark hair with a darker complection than all my blonde haired lighter skinned sisters who look great in pastels that look horrible on me. Blue was the only color my mother would buy for clothes that I liked to wear. I am the oldest of 8 and grew up in the era of hand me downs, and since they are blonde mom looked at what looked best on them, lol.
Bright colors not pastels, and not alot of the weird names that ome out for colors that don't give you a clue to what color it really is. For example what color is "applique"? Its a color brother uses, but I haven't a clue what color it is, lol!And WHY??? use that word as a color for embroidery???

Now I'm into true purple and hot pink. And for me on black backgrounds in fabircs I quilt, lol.

varigated primary colors. I have the remnants left from a large spool and the company who made it no longer caries it. The modern "primary colors" are less dense and not really bright. This spool has been in the embroidery of several children's items.
