yes it is if you are a member of sew forum that is where i got my teddy bears for in the hoop it stitches the outline and the face sews together leaves an area open for u to stuff and then you hand or machine sew together and there u have it i may make a couple my daughter was due on the 11th

I just noticed a cpl project posts that said in the hoop and I made one of them and thot hmmmm that is FSL even tho I did it on felt because at the time I didn't know it was FSL turned out cute tho LOL

Yes, it is a project that is completed inside your hoop. It could be a case for glasses, a purse, etc,etc.;)

Like applique? So lost on this, I guess I will have to find an "in the hoop" design and make it to grasp what it means.

Instead of embroidering lots of separate pieces, in separate hoopings, then having to join them all together afterwards, "in the hoop" you embroider the "whole" of the article in one embroidering.

Not really, perhaps because I have never made that type of project. When I saw 2 bookmarks in projects as in the hoop, well how else would they be made? Also I am guessing you need a big hoop to make a purse. Maybe I am more tired, confused and dim than I thought lol
