I am sure we all have one shirt in the scrap pile that we can give a new life to. I am going to make mine into a book bag for when I go to the library to tote the books and movies I rent.

yes very frustrating I was so mad that first I was so stupid to try and use that thread when I KNOW better
(but it is sooooo pretty!)
and second that I spent money on that shirt to turn it into a dust rag and third that I didn't have the gift I wanted to give to her.

R U sure U can't save that tee misscharlie. U can always patch a hole u know, of course a tee tote is just as nice. * thanks for the project!

I have so many stitches to tear out, so more holes may be in the future lol. It has no chance of ever being a wearable tee but, it will make for a nice tote.

Why don't you just do the embroidery design as a patch and stitch the patch on the T-shirt. If you need help turning the design into a patch maybe I can help you. hugs n roses, Meganne

Trust me Meganne the shirt will never be nice enough to wear. The embroidery was 75% completed when it completely messed up. Prior to that the thread had broke at least 20 times. The designs I was putting on it had to be done in 5 hoopings I was on the 4th.

Thanks for posting this bag pattern! I have some cute shirts I don't want to part with, that really are beat up around the collar. Great thing to do with them. And I can take them to the store & use for grocery bags, saving all that plastic. Wonderful! Thanks, Marji
