they are called heat-away stabilizer, as long as where can yo buy it sorry I have not used it so I don't know. I am sure someone will help yu on that soon

Not-Just-Threads have it for sale on their site. I have used it in the past, great for when you don't want to wash the item & the stabilizer remains under the embroidery for all times. But don't use on delicate fabrics that won't take heat - needs reasonable hot iron to burn off the excess stabilizer

I use Floriani's Heat N Gone. I get it from my dealer, but I'm sure it's available on the web. It does not gum up your iron, and for towelling, it remains under the embroidery where the iron doesn't touch it, and keeps the loops down permanently. You do need a high heat to vaporize it, and you should tear away as much as possible. Don't *press* it onto your project. It needs to be kind of away from the fabric to vaporize, if you don't give any room between the iron & project, you'll kind of iron it on to the project. Hope that's clear. It's expensive, but it's like WSS, you can tape it just over the design part of the project in the hoop, it doesn't need to be hooped. Meant to be used as topping. Hope this helps. Marji

Solvy makes a heat-a-way type. I get it at JoAnns and Hancock. Most anyplace that sells Solvy products.

they have this along with all the other types at Walmart believe it or not. At least if your walmart carries fabrics. Some have stopped the fabric dept. but mine has fabrics, stablizers, even some threads.

A friend told me she uses home brand freezer bages. i tried it and it works.
