I believe it was at least a year or more ago. They replace a part that got really hot. I had had a Designer I and it would get really hot and smell like smoke. I took it in and they replaced a part. It was called a transformer. You dealer should know about. You can see if they still have information on-line. As a registered owned I also recieved an email about it.

I got my designer one in december and haven't had a problem so they must have fixed it at the factory.
