Mary, he 'thinks' he can keep you away and hurt you, but only if you let him. Go anyway, and ignore him. He can only keep you away if you allow it. He doesn't think you can be strong enough to come anyway, and I KNOW you are strong enough. My first husband was an abusive bully, but he backed down when I faced up to him. Don't let him get the better of you, my friend. There is always the possibility that over the years he may have gotten some sense, and really does care about his daughter. But even if not, YOU care, just pick up and GO TO HER, and ignore the stupid man. By staying home you are feeding his need for control over you even after all this time. Please go to her, with my love and best wishes and prayers for strength. Marji

Oh, Mary, so sorry. But I did have to laugh, I went after mine with a butcher knife, and chased his girlfriend too. Uhh, maybe we're sisters? Can you have the nurses call you when he's gone? He might not stay all the time. So sorry, that is cruel, and they surely do know how to do it, believe me I know. Love you, sweetie. Marji

Don't let someone else ruin this time for you Mary!! You're not responsible for what he does, only for how you react to your circumstances!! God bless you as you GO to be with your daughter at this very special time in her life and yours.

Mary..YOU GO.. Your daughter need YOU...Tell the nursing staff to have him leave so you can have the same amount of time with her as he has had!! A judge would be a fool not to see a girl needs her mother at this time NOT HER FATHER. I was fortunate to see my grandson born and my daughter asked for me to be there:)

Please don't let this, this useless waste of skin (sorry no better description for a man like that) take your joy. You are going to be a grandma today! Celebrate be thankful and thank God for this blessing. Don't let that little grand daughter of your's be born into a world with hateful feelings. Now breathe and let the bad out and embrace the JOY we all love you!

Oh Mary this breaks my heart as this is such a special mother daughter moment. How far away does your order say you must be? If it were me I would not let him keep me away.I would go to hospital, explain situation to the nurses and sit as many feet away from him as I had to to be obeying court order. Then I would have the nurse go and let daughter know I am there for her and that if she wants me to be in there with her ,I can only do so if her dad leaves.I would doubt he stays there for the birth and I would definately want to be there for that.I was there for the birth of my 1st grandson and I can not describe the wonderful feeling and all the tears of joy and pride.Stay in legal bounds, but GO to your dauhter if you can.We love you Mary and will be here for you.Hugs

I'm sorry - this made me feel bad to read. I hope that everything goes well, and that you will be able to go and see you new grandbaby. Try not to let this get you down, you will have a lot more chances to spend time with her that she will remember spending time with you. I hope that your day ends better than it started. I'll be thinking of you.

MM, I hope all is going well. How wonderful that God is blessing you with a new life in your family. Is it a boy or girl? As a child, I went thru some of these type of things, because my parents divorced. Their fighting hurt me also, the divorce was bad enough. God Bless all of you. Hugs and flower.

MM, My childrens dad did much of the same type of things. I am rid of him, but very happy that I have my wonderful children from the relationship. Mine was not there for any of the 4 births. Just think of the wonderful things you have in your life. Like all of us!!! We love you. Hugs and flower.

Oh Please don't feel bad Mary, at least you HAVE a daughter.
I have two sons and one (distant) daughter in law. My son didn't even tell me when his wife went to hospital to deliver, they wanted to be on their own. But HER mum was STAYING with them!!!!

Oh well, just another precious moment a daughter-less mum, doesn't get to experience.
Please just be very grateful when your new Grandchild is born and is healthy and your daughter has an easy delivery with no complications.
After all, That's all that really matters.
hugs n roses, Meganne (the peacemaker)

I hope you are able to be there for the birth. I tried to be there for the births of all 10 of my grandkids and didn't make it for any of them. Being on the other side of the U.S. and having a job, never getting the vacations right. But, I got to be there for my first great grandchild...I was retired. lol I'm praying for the best for you, Mary.
