Hi, could someone please explain why you make lovely covers for toilet rolls? I have never seen them before I joined here. Are they gifts for special friends?Just very curious.

Yep, I have been dying to ask, didn't know whether to or not, and thought if you don't ask you won't know

Welcome Sherylac! If it isn't nailed down we will try to embroider it. LOL No JK, I make mine as gifts and to sell for bathroom decorations. I do not make the covers (yet) I embroider straight onto the TP.

Welcome *4U hahaha As misscharlie has said if we see it, we will try to embroider on it. I stitch directly onto the toilet paper. I make mine for gifts and they go over very well. They are for decoration not use. hee hee I even make embroidery and put on soap for gifts, which really turn out lovely. Try it, its fun! As you can see we have some very imaginative members. :)

We make cute covers for toilet paper rolls because when you leave an extra roll sitting in the bathroom for emergencies, in case the existing roll runs out, it looks nicer than the plain toilet paper sitting there for all to see! It makes nice gifts for this reason too!

Enjoy!

Well now sherylac U've been around since August but had little to say. TP got your curosity up. Purely for decorative purposes, fun, gifts, fund raisers etc. Try it you might like it. They r curosities & do make an added attraction to a bathrm gift basket for a shower gift. Our talented Celticlady came up with the idea of a gift basket with various bthrm items including the tp. *4U

I can remember having toilet roll dolls where we stuck the legs into the middle of the roll and yes they are very different

It is better to have a cover on a TR than to have it sitting in Bathroom for a long time when bathroom is not used too often. Also when you live in a dusty place they keep the paper clean, & looks better than the paper wrap.

First, a big CUTE Welcome to you, Sheryl!! Now, TP. You got some good practical answers about the dust, etc. But honestly, I think Charlie is right, if it's not nailed down, we'll embroider it. Then we'll make up some practical answers for having done so, hee hee hee. Marji
