So it was a waste of money. Where do you QT's get your thread from. I really need reliable and inexpensive. I have done the craigs list search to no avail.

Try marathonusa.com then click PRODUCT on top, then go to left hand side click Special Value Packages. Recently, my friend sold me her 6 needles Baby Lock and she taught me about the marathonusa.com and I did order the special value package with 306 color for $449 and no shipping charge. The threads are wonderful. For stabilizers, I go to shoppersrule.com. You can make an offer for lot of things.

$449 will have to wait until next tax season lol School Bus Drivers don't make that a payday, and that's more than my rent LOL Thx for the help I will remember it when I get a chunk of cash *
I had tried other cheaper thread which breaks all the time and the colors get bleach out. The poly thread from marathonusa will not bleach out. If don't want to get the package deal, buy individual spool. I have home business. I can't afford the thread keep breaking which will cause me to use more time.
I use both Marathon and Madeira. The first is cheaper. As I'm in Europe I can't advise on cheap sites, but I know Marathon is a quality thread.
tyvm will maybe get a little at a time*

I have watched on group for a while and everyone seems to have their own type of thread they like. I puchased some from thread art it was reasonabley priced. It does not break or shred but when comparing it to my gamut or Robinson anton there is a big difference. I am now purchasing RA from shoppers rule. they have abuy ten pkg for 29.95. Even with exchange and shipping its still cheaper than here. Hopes this helps.

Don't buy a large amount from any place until you try a spool out on your machine. Since you had trouble with one brand, you may have a picky machine!!!
thank you for letting us know. I'm pay ing more that twice as much.

Why was the Radiant thread a waste of money, Charlie, was it not good thread? What happened? I don't know this first hand, as I haven't tried any, but BFC Creations has a website called BFC Stash, and they sell Admelody Rayon & Poly very cheaply. It's what they use for all their sewing, and since they import it anyway, they sell it cheaply. I haven't tried this thread, because I get mine from my dealer, RA and Floriani. They're not cheap, but then I don't use all that much and they have sales all the time. Good Luck, Marji

ok here's a deal you can't beat, go to ebay and check out the 'embroidery thread' listings, you'll see a seller by the name of M & K,the picture usually shows a 'pile' of threads of all colors. You can get a super deal and the brand is Maderia which is excellent. I have bought from her 3 times without a problem and since the threads are on such large spools they last a really long time. You may need to buy a seperate thread stand but you can find those on ebay also for about $5. Anyway I usually have bought 20 spools for a little more than $20 plus shipping. It doesn't cost to check it out. Good luck.

Take a look at AllStitch Embroidery Supplies. They are out of Balitmore, Md. I have ordered from them and like their threads. They have Madeira. I buy Robison-Anton locally and like it very much also.

Just what Marji had said is all I've seen so far.

I have used so many name brands... and truthfully find that I equally get great results with Thread Art's thread. They're relatively inexpensive and offer a wide range of colors. They have an ebay store too, which offers sets at a reduced price than direct from their warehouse. Here are the links.
I have NOT tried their rayon... only poly. I have a ton of rayon Shirlene and I got from a 3rd party a couple of months ago...

I use Marathon thread a lot. Terradon Embroidery sells it for $1.75 for 1100 yds. I never have problems with it, and there are loads of colors.
