The girls get mine but do not read like I use to misscharlie am on machine when I have free time. *4U I likes the left behind series also.

I read a lot, as does my daughters,and hubby. I am slower than I used to, but usually get about one a week. I read a mixture of books - I like historical novels, and some other areas. I have 2 Gkids that read a lot. I just completed the Highlander series by Karen Moning - this is 7 books, and deals with time travel a little. My entire family has read them - yes, even hubby. And of course for the romantic side there is always Nora Roberts. Some of her trilogies are really good.

You should be my GD Elizageth best friend then, she is 8, but she reads constantly, she always has a book with her, you can not make enough money to buy her books, now she goes to the Library and get at least two or three books every week, then she tells me the whole story...******

You would love the books by Tess Gerritson - right up your alley! Also Robin Cook has some fantastic medical thrillers that are the kind of book you can't put down. He is kinda like Dean Coontz. I don't see Stephen King on your list of authors. Great books if you like that kind of thriller.

One of my all time favorite series is the Zion Covenant by Bodie Thoene. There's 6 books in the series starting with Vienna Prelude, which opens in pre-World War II in Austria. Can't put it down! Then on the to the Zion Chronicles. Same people in it, but different ones are the focus characters. We can get these at out public library in Knoxville, also at used book stores, church library, etc. Publisher is Bethany House.

Not much of a reader and my spare time I spend it here. I guess that can be considered reading don't it? lol ;)

Patricia Cornwell is on my fav's list, but my most favourite Author is Wilbur Smith, then John Grisham and I truly enjoyed "Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett, it was so good that Oprah had it as her book club selection, but I discovered it first! LOL! And it took me a long time to get round to them but Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, were fabulous and of course the Harry Potter series is just fantastic.
I only like books that transport me into the world of the characters and if I can't bear to finish reading it and am sad when I do get to the end, then that is what I consider is a good book.
One book that may surprise you, that I could not put down and sat up all night to finish it in one sitting, JAWS.

I don't watch tv much but still don't have time to read either. If I have time for myself it is here............or sewing.

I love to read during my time while I drive with a underground to work i need nearly forty minutes so there is a good chance to do some reading, I have read books from this auhors too but I also like SF and Fantastic novels.

I love to read too. Patricia Cornwell; James Patterson; Dean Kootz; David Baldacci; Michael Crighton; Tom Clancy; the historic maritime novels by Dudley Pope and Alexander Kent (both English authors); William Horwood (Duncton Wood and The Stonor Eagles); Chaim Potok, which I read and reread again and again. Rather strange mix I think, but I devour them all. My husband is an early riser and retires to bed early. I then read for a couple of hours and sleep in late (to his standards, not mine. My books are spilling all over the place, in almost every room except the toilet you'll find them.

I read in bed almost every nite...Romance, trashy novels, that way I always have "sweet" dreams :) Nora Roberts and Debbie Macomber are high on my authors list... *2 YAll

I'm a HUGE Lord of the Rings fan... read the book several times. :-)

Love to read. Some favorite authors are: Nora Roberts(both romance & murder mystery), Harlan Coben, and Beverly Lewis. Also try; Alone by Lisa Gardner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hossein. I've read about all of Nora Roberts books because they are easy reads and fast moving.
Beverly Lewis is religion based with the Amish and Mennonite community.

I just finished reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows.....It was wonderful +++++ It's a series of correspondances with some islanders in the aftermath of German occupation Sound heavy but its delightful I believe it is on the bestsellers list

Am just reading this post from earlier. Interesting that some of you listen to book tapes while embroidering. This is appealing to me as presently I have a mini T.V. in sewing room and when they change the signal to all digital in 2009, I won't be able to watch it anymore as it only has rabbit ears. I need to ask for tape or DVD player for Christmas. If it's the same case as the digital camera I received several years ago, I'll get it then from my sweetie and then never see it again. Ha! Ha!

I also love reading. I belong to a bookclub that meets once a month. Murder mysteries are my favourite - I enjoy Harlan Coben, Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson, David Baldacci. I also enjoyed The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns. I do my reading at night before going to sleep. At the moment, I am reading Eat, Pray, Love and really enjoying it.
