Hello everyone, very curious as to how many members actually live in south east Queensland, Austrailia? My best friend Michelej and I both live in the southern suburbs of Brisbane.

I don't live in Austrailia. I used to live in she sister city in the USA: Brisbane, California. That was about 40 years ago. I have very fond memories of that place. A wonderful place to live. I'm sure it was very different from your Brisbane. I always wanted to visit Austrailia. I guess Brisbane, CA is the closest I'm going to get to it. lol *4u

Thank you, I didn't know that there was another Brisbane, you learn something everyday don't you? And yes, the Brisbane here is a wonderful place to live, not too busy not too slow, just right I think, and the weather is lovely. And if you ever visit Australia you can always drop in and say hello

Thanks I'm fine after the storms, my sister lived in Mackay for years even though she now lives in Gordonvale, near Cairns. So, after moving around you like Qld the best? Thanks for replying

Hi Sheryl, I and my family evacuated to the Archerfield area during the war years from Winton Western Qld (parents were concerned at the defence plans of 'Brisbane Line'). later returning to the Bowen area near relatives. Since then though I've travelled Aus but nothing compares with Qld and am now retired to near Tolga on the Atherton Tablelands a really lovely area with many retirees.
