Just cherish the GOOD times. You never forget but it gets better just knowing that you are LOVED. I lost my mother going on 8 yrs in Dec and it's never easy but with the LORD He carries me when I am too weak to walk. May your heart be showered with the sunshine of her memories ;) *2U

I feel your sorrow, my grandma passed while saying her rosary, waiting to go out to lunch (her favorite thing to do with anyone that would take her) So today I took myself to lunch for her :) Chocolate Makes everthing O K :)

Mary, How wonderful. She is probably smiling down on you enjoying her birthday right there with you. Oh, Mary, my grandmother was everything to me, I miss her so much, I still "talk" to her all the time LOL.Let me tell you something funny, my grandmother on my mother's side of the family is still alive and healthy!!!how wonderful can that be...she lives in Cuba . How many 58 years old people have a grandmother still alive? Now my greatgradmother also on my mother's side was a few days away from 100 when she went home to the Lord. She walk to Church that Saturday, came home, had lunch and complaint about feeling a little tired, my aunt went to the kitchen to get her a glass of tea, and when she came back with the tea she was already sleeping in the Lord's Arms.***for your grandma.

Mary Talk to your granny while cooking the cake as she will be right there with you. Leave a peice on a plate for her and you may get a meassage either before or while you eat it. I know my grandmother is near most evenings when I wash my dishes and when I sit shelling Peas, a voice asks me if I enjoyed the pea or I hear a soft NO when I go to put a pea into my mouth. I love it and grandma May. I feel her near me right now. Cook another cake.

No Mary Oct 1 is my moms b'day....I miss her all the time I totally get it :-)

I lost my mother in January of this year. Her birthday was June 23. My brother and my sister went to a restaurant for her birthday. I have her picture on the desktop of my computer, so I see her every day. It's okay to miss someone who has been dear to you.

Celebrate the memories, celebrate knowing you will be with her again and celebrate because you know that is what she would want. love ya tons xoxox *

We all remember in different ways. I think you way is great. With each piece remember one special thing about her for I am sure there are many. (I'm delayed in checking in on the community. I lost my monitor yesterday when I got to the community link. Can't do much with out the monitor!)

Celebrate her *life*, Mary! A cake is a fine way to do that, and it's not crazy. Be glad of the memories you made, my only grandmother died when I was 4, and my Mom died when I was only 38.
