Mary, Larry & Holly Pike, the owners of the ATW site, left in their motorhome the other day to go to Kentucky to meet Nita O'Keefe, owner of Nita's Thread Nest. Nita & her husband lived in Galveston, evacuated to Kentucky to relatives before Hurricane Ike got there. The four of them are going to Galveston to salvage what can be gotten from Nita & her DH's house, which was a total loss to the hurricane. I'm sure they'll contact your friend that won the membership as soon as they can. Larry does try to stay in touch by computer when they're on the road, but things might be a bit dodgy for them right now. Please keep the O'Keefe's in your prayers, they lost everything they had, and with all the claims pouring in, it's not certain when theirs will be processed & paid. Please ask your friend to be patient. ATW, the Pikes and O'Keefes really are good people. Thanks, Marji

I do believe Mary that these people r some of the ones who were displaced when Hurricane Ike went through Texas. I seem to remember just a couple of days ago they were going to try & get back. She needs to try & contact them & give them an opportunity to make things right. Some times there r extenuating circumstances. *4U

Mary,I won a full year free membership a couple yrs ago. They were fantastic to work with. They are living on the road in their camper now so maybe there has been a glitch in their lines of communication. I know they were helping Nita O'Keefe who lost all to IKE. I would contact Larry again in a few days if I were your friend.

Larry is a computer wiz, he will be able to tell that she claimed her prize in time...I'm sure they will contact her as soon as they can while in transit to Texas. :)

its so nice to see all the replies here! I dont face such weather problems over here in my country but its headache moving around in a big country to get things done. A lot of time has to be put in when it comes to Computer issues. Hope nita stuffs will all be back.
