Hi, Francoise! I can't do it in French, but maybe Claude can if she sees this. Steam-a-Seam is a product used to fuse or attach 2 pieces of fabric together. The heat of your iron melts the product and 'glues' the fabric pieces together. There are different types for different uses. Some are very light for lightweight fabric, some denser for heavier fabric. There is one that has a 'sticky' side to place applique pieces temporarily, then when you are satisfied with placement, you iron it & it becomes permanent. Thank you Marji. I can see the use now. I have the same proble with "mesh". I can find this word in a dictionnary but I can't find what's the use in embroidery ???
