Last year was miserable...for a week, DH and I were shut up in our home "waiting" to get the word to evacuate... by the end of 7 days, I thought we were going to kill each other. LOL... please keep Southern Califonia in prayers as we battle yet another fire season.

Sorry to hear there is another. Seems like you have more than you should. We need to be able to share the rain. Hopefully you will not be affected this time.

Teri, that is terrible....I can't imagine trying to rest at night with the fear of fire around....7 days does make one "weak". Sorry, couldn't help myself. I will be praying that the fires subside.

Nice play on words... :-) last year we took shifts waiting on the reverse 911 call... I see that another fire has broke out just now... oh gosh. Here we go again!

Hope you stay safe Teri. I still remember the fire that ate Scripts Ranch a few years ago. I worked in the area at that time. That was the worst one I had ever experienced. We also have a bad one here now in the Los Angeles area as well. The winds are outrageously strong and spreading it quickly. Every year we can count on the fires at this time of year with the Santana winds (Devil winds. Alot of people call it the "Santa Ana winds, but it is really Santana for devil) coming in off the desert. Then in the winter the rains come and we get mud slides in the burn areas. Just a fact of life here in the southland, along with the earthquakes. You see, we don't have seasons here like most of you do, so we have different ways to judge what time of year it is.Fire season, mud slide season, shake and bake season, etc.

Yeah, that whole "snow" thing isn't too appealing... lol... lovely from a window's view, but shoveling out my car just to go to work just isn't "warming" my heart. lol... xoxo
