I like to use a small needle on mine, but found out the hard way that it doesn't always work, many broken needles later. So I did switch to the larger needle and occasionally will use a third layer of stablizer. There are some good turtorials on that web site, emblibrary.

I'm addicted to FSL too. Try samples from Criswell, sadiasews, and suebox as their quality is the best. I've had some other freebies not stitchout well. When in doubt, sandwich some organza or tuil in between two layers of water soluable stabelizer. Make sure you are using the type that looks like fabric, not the clear kind that's used for topping. Also, use the same thread in the bobbin. The free bowl from suebox is fantastic, if you make 6 pieces instead of 5 you can make a doiley.

OHHH that FSL bug bite can be very bad...I've had it and do mostly x-mas ornaments...the angels that shirlener made are just beautiful :) Good luck with your projects :)
