Welcome to the Cute family. You need to make folders for your designs and save them into the various folders for the different categories. *4U

To find the one you already downloaded. Go to the start menu, select search or find depending on your operating system. Click on files and folders, then enter the file type you downloaded for example I would use .jef
You could further refine the search by putting in a date range. Then click search. Your computer will find all files with that file extension. Next time you download be sure to change the location before you click on the final save button.

Another thing you can do is DL another design and when the save box pops up see where the computer is choosing for the design to go. Welcome to cute!

Welcome, I save mine right to my Flash Drive. I have folders on the drive so it is easy to look up a particular design type. *4U

The quickest way I know is to pretend to download again and when the window comes up asking you to save... look at the location. That's your default. You can always change the location next time, but at least you know where to find your other file! Just cancel the attempted download and go to the location it told you it saved the previous download to..... I find that much easier than searching my entire hard drive.

As you download more you will learn new "tricks" all the ones you have been given are helpful..just remember is it says you already have "it" check to see IF it truly is the same design...I have partial alpha's because they are named the same. You can change the name by clicking on the name 2 times b-4 you hit save. I always rename the alpha's (like snow.a snow.b etc.)

I have an embroidery file on my desktop. When I download anything it goes into there. Inside this file, I have created subfiles in which I classify the designs in... When I have more time, then I can
download on cd's for my back up....I like being able to pick up the cd with the same theme....WELCOME HERE!!!!!!!

Welcome Imack to Cute family. Ask away & you will get a lot of answers, then it upto you to work out which is best for you. I download to a folder Named Designers, then a sub folders named after the designer e.g. "Cute Embroidery' Amazing 'Embroidery' etc. On my machine the save folder takes me to 'Documents' on some computers it's 'My Documents' I also save jpeg file when I can as they show the colours as they are as some designs change colour after downloading & if you don't have a program to show you the design it helps a lot. If you need more info ask again. Happy hunting & sewing. *4u
