This video is about Halloween candy made in China using milk powder. At the time the candy was being made, there were reports of some unscrupulous factories in China putting melamine into milk products, which were even sold in China and made many Chinese babies sick. Melamine is the same agent that was responsible for the tainted pet food a while ago. As Mr. Mozart said, he is not sure the products he found at Target *are* tainted, but they were manufactured in the correct time frame, and should certainly be tested, or Target should certify them as "safe". Unfortunately, milk powder is an ingredient in lots of products besides candy, and I'm not sure food labeling laws require companies to list the country of origin of their ingredients. That's how we got the pet food problem, American companies were buying imported ingredients. This one is true, and scary. Personally, I buy my milk from a local dairy farmer, and just don't buy anything with any kind of questionable ingredients. Mostly I eat fresh, and buy from a health food store. I believe at this point Hershey's has reported that they do not use any imported ingredients, but please do check that, I am not totally sure of that information. I don't know what y'all with kids are going to do for Halloween, cause you can't make home-made stuff any more, parents throw it out because of razor blades & such. Maybe you should give out nickles & dimes? I know I'm a cranky old lady, but the world is getting just too crazy for me. Some folks are so worried about making the almighty dollar that they are willing to put health and lives in jeopardy. I suggest we boycott any milk products not made in this country. Why are our own dairy farmers going under, not able to make a living & get a decent price for their milk, but we can afford to import this garbage from China? Bah, humbug!! this is so crazy!! my husband was telling that 1500 raccoondogs.. cross breeds in china also died from drinking melamane tainted milk.. he and some guys were talking about it at work... I can't believe that they are putting this is products for there own children as well as ours!! it makes you kinda wonder what they are thinking <the people in the milk companies> well i will def be extra careful when i take my 2 year old trick or treating.. an i bought suckers, tootsie roll mix and chips so i think im safe for handing out!!

Thank you for the warning and this is so shocking.I thought we had guidelines of product safety to get products on our shelves? I will be reading alot of ingredients this year and hopefully will say where products are made.I find this outrageous that anyone would do something so aweful .*4u
