Tell them to give you their old jeans and charge them to make them a bag. Hey it's money for more fabric and supplies. Just make sure you figure a price that won't leave you at a loss. Word spreads fast. You may be the new Vera Bradley!!!!

Head over to your local Goodwill, reasle, ot=r thrift store and get some REALLY cheap jeans and start stitchin :) Charge $$ for them. The ones I have in projects cost $1.00 to ,ake and I only charge $5.

You r right...but they are FUN. If ya add beads/ruffles/lace they do cost a bit more...be creative with your handles, that saves $$ tooo:) The pockets r great for cell phones and I always use a clip for my keys around the belt loops. Must be a mom thing!

OK...fun bags...ic. Yes!!! I plan to have much fun making them...what machine do you use to make them?
by blhamblen 27 Oct 2008
I have a pfaff 1427 I got it new in 93 and wouldn't trade it for the world. The machine I had b-4 that was a used pfaff made in 1963 and weighed as much as I did. they are good workhorses. I made handles out of braided fleece and also made tubes with clothes line rope run thru for stability.

Can't beat those older Pfaff machines. I use a 1473 for most of my construction work. With the right thread and needle I can sew thru 4 layers of denim.

Excellent opportunity for u mad14kt - wish i had this opportunity. Don't be taken advantage of charge a good price - $5.oo is really ridiculous i think, u have the demand so use it to your advantage. I am always the sucker who feels guilty about chargin, but is their time more valuable than yours you have to ask yourself. I wish you all the very best, this could lead to bigger and better things for you. You go girl! LOL

Thanks...I too am a soft heart when it comes to charging. The people who are asking me are big spenders. I will not over charge them but I must make something to pay for my new machine I must buy because I don't want to make my good one ;)

Just researched and finally found your bags on page 14 currently for yours and anyone elses info. I live in australia and u can't even buy a pair of second hand jeans for $5 in an opportunity shop - i say charge about $20 it is unique and individual. I made one of these about 5 years ago whilst attending a craft group (to put all my bits and pieces in) I actually embroidered white outline floral design on the pockets both sides and then found a very good similar fabric (denim with white outline floral) for tie belt. I had many comments so once again i wish u all the best and be positive - good things can come of this XXXXXOOOOOO

Can you put the demin bag photo here? May be some cuties want to buy from you. Or make the pattern and sell the copied pattern. Make sure put your copyright on the pattern.
