My daughter has asked me to make a fly net for a baby basket,woud lace designs be better to use. I would like the designs to be seen both sides.

It would look very nice if you used FSL on the netting. Be sure to use same color thread on top and in bobbin.

Ooh, I think that would be lovely. As long as the designs weren't too large, or too abundant that they made the netting fall down, if you know what i mean.
There are some lovely tiny flowers you can embroider too, even little heart designs. I can just imagine how beautiful it would look.
Oh how i envy the girls of today, it's so easy to have such pretty things now, when you can embroider them at home. They were way too expensive to buy when my bubs were born.
Hope your daughter knows how lucky she is.

Yes you are right,the butterflys could be too heavy,i will look for smaller designs. When my children were little we lived from pay day to pay day. It is a pleasure to make preety things for people we love. Heather

I did small hearts and flowers on a wedding veil, lacy patterns, not FSL, looked very pretty.

I sold on the hearts and flowers,baby is due on christmass day. ************4U
