For all of you pre- wound bobbin users...What do you do with all of the empty bobbins. I have many and use a lot for winding colored thread for FSL but the rest?

I use cardboard side or sideless prewounds, so all I have left is the little center piece. Those I save for the GDs to use as beads to string neclaces with. What style bobbins do you use? If you don't want them send them my way. I always need more. hahahahahah

I use the same, cardboard sides and little plastic center pieces, which I first collected, then threw out as I thought them too brittle to let the GDs play with.

Only the older girls. They string them on yarn to make neclaces for dress up.

Me too, I want to know what style of pre-wound bobbins you use. I have maybe 150-200 empty in a box right now. I use L-style.

i only have 2 empty as i am still kinda new.. more time downloading than stitching.. lol!! I never thought of anything to do with them yet.. but i use the full little plastic ones.... then ladies at the store said to rewind them and use them.. but i don't think i will be doing that!! i'd rather buy some easier.... but good question for sure!! i look forward to hearing more answers for sure!!

I use the Type L, but do not save the prewound bobbins after the thread is gone. Maybe I should after I saw the price for the Viking bobbins for my machine. I was told not to reuse them.

I use them on my Sidewinder bobbin winder. I have a Viking Designer I and was told not to reuse the prewound plastic bobbins either. However, the Viking bobbins didn't fit the Sidewinder, and the prewound did, so I use them and they work fine. Now I've heard that they have made a Sidewinder for the Viking bobbins.

The pre wound i buy don't have sides they are just thread and i use it from the centre out and thrn you don't have it flopping about. But i prefer to use my sidewinder to wind threads to bobbin.
