Thank U 4 letting us hear from u NMM. We were wondering. I know how hard it was for her to leave the baby. 55 yrs ago I had to do the same thing, My oldest weighed only 3 lbs. U all r n my prayers *4U

I know how it is. My baby, now four, had to stay in NICU for a week. Not long compared to others, but it is still tough to see your newborn with IVs and such. Tell Deana to take care of herself more than anything. The hospital is taking care of Adelaide, but if she doesn't watch out for herself, she may end up in the hospital, too. That baby needs her to stay healthy. It's hard to think of yourself when you are putting so much of your energy into the little one, but tell her she is doing it for Adelaide, not herself.

I was so worried and spent so much time either on the road or in NICU with Cathrine, that I hardly ate or drank anything. At the end of the week, they had to take me to the emergency room because I was so dehydrated. They gave me two bags (pints?) of fluid just to get me lucid again.

After experiencing it myself, I really stress the point. Tell her to TAKE CARE OF HERSELF!
