There are lots & lots out there...but of course I can't think right now of any sites except annthegran. Give her's a try & I'll look at some of mine & see if I have marked where I got any of them!

Thankyou. That is my problem - I know I have seen them, but when I need them 'now' I can't find them or remember where I have seen them. Oh well....

FYI: remember if you are using metalic thread to use a metalic needle...I did a stole that was a nightmare with thread breaks cuz I didn't use the right needle.

Thank you for that hint too :) Last time I used metallic I ended up with a dud spool of thread too - that didn't help as it was shredding as it came off the spool, way before it even got to the needle!

I was gonna suggest Windstar, too, they have lots of good religious designs appropriate to stoles. And I'm happy to have found a fellow Anglican!! Congrats on the ordinations, that's very special!! Bright blessings, Marji

Thankyou Marji. Windstar do have some lovely designs. Yes ordination is a special time for all the students - the beginning of new ministries in our lives. Blessings

I love the professional look of the designs at www.EmbLibrary.com and they have specials and sales every week to boot. If you look they have many Christian ones...look under 'Religious' and then under 'Symbols' especially. Also search for individual designs like 'cross' or 'dove' etc.

Emb Library would be one of my favourite sites. The first site I ever bought designs from, although now there are quite a few more on the list :)

Jasanne, if you haven't totally found what you want - perhaps you could go to the GNR Embroidery site - I have a presious set from them - that I enjoy, it is called religious lace - but it is not FSL.

I think the website "A Heavenly Stitch" may be a useful resource for you in the coming years. I think that it would be worth contacting them for fabric info, embroidery design information, etc.. Their products appear to be incredible. Link below. Congratulations to you, your husband and your friend!

Thankyou everyone - for this first stole he has chosen two designs from Windstar. Still each Priest needs four stoles - one each in red, green, purple and white so I could be sewing for a while yet :) I will gladly add any new sites / resources / ideas to my stash! Thankyou again.
