I've had some frustrating experiences with FSL designs I had to convert. They were stitcing out with very small and very dense stitches and causing the thread and sometimes the needle to break. Some even had the underlay stitchs outside the design or not line up. First I tried enlarging the designs (by 15%) in the machine to not change the stitch count. It worked on some designs, but not to my satisfaction with the angels from Bejoscha. Remembering a problem I had when test stitching for Teri, I tested my theory. (I'm getting there:-)

Well, the problem is Digitizer Pro doesn't like PES designs and does a poor job of converting them to JEF. I started over and converted the PES designs in Tajima. They stitched out beautifully.

I'm not familiar with "Bejoscha" Would you be so kind as to enlighten me? I'm probably far too curious for my own good! Thank you so much for your patience!

I asked too quickly! I went down the page and found the posting and Link to Bejoscha for the FSL Bells. It sounds like you have the patience of a saint!

Why are converting PES files to JEF with Digitizer Pro?

I noticed my 4D extra did well with PES and VP3 and JEF, but not very well with DTS. It is just observation and there is no scientific proof.

To answers to Katydid and Ricky's questions. Digitizer Pro is my software. In addition to being a digitizing software, it also converts most formats. I found out it will not recognize ART, and (through trial and error) doesn't do a very good job converting PES. Tajima's resizing program came free on CD's from AnitaGoodesign, so I tried it to convert the PES files, and it worked very well. The only other embroidery software I have is Customizer and it doesn't convert anything.

I also have Digitizer Pro but don't use it to convert from PES to JEF.I do convert from JAN to PES when I digitize. I am not even sure it is meant to convert from one format to another as such. I use Truesizer to convert from another format to jef.
