well the only Bernina dealer here won't let me do much in her store since I have a Husqvarna! She says since I didn't support the 'local shops' I'm on my own. I even signed up for one of their classes and they wouldn't include me because i have a Husqvarna! I still don't know what difference it makes since you have to bring your own machine to the classes. Anyway don't want to go in there. I saw this set in a magazine (quilting of course) and fell in love with it. It is FSL, I even check ebay but so far no go. Any suggestions?

It is probably a set by OESD, which is now owned by Bernina. You can search on the OESD/Embroidery.com site or even the Bernina.com site and see if you can find it. What magazine was it in? It was probably an OESD advertizement.
Don't you just hate dealers like that! They could have sold you the collection if they were nice. I wouldn't shop there either.

Check out this site. This has a FSL sleigh and reindeer by OESD and is probably the one you saw.

It's dealers like that who make you crazy. You were a potential customer who was treated with disrespect...we don't recommend that kind to friends; in fact they end up being bad mouthed by the ones who were wronged. Good luck finding what you need.

That's too bad about your Bernina dealer. But, if you are willing to purchase from them isn't that supporting them? By the way, OESD is not just for Bernina - the design packs are multi formatted, so OESD doesn't care what machine you use.
I have a BabyLock machine-purchased 50 miles from where I live, Viking Software-purchased from local Viking shop and make most of my other embroidery purchases from the local Bernina shop and belong to their embroidery group. All in this group have different machines. To get the OESD 2008 Christmas packs you are speaking of you need to buy $60 worth of OESD products during a certain period to get the design pack -- Will be getting this pack this week. I too loved this sleigh and reindeer!

Forgot to tell you -- you can go to the OESD site:http://www.embroideryonline.com/index.aspx

and probably make your purchases there directly and maybe get the design pack. Anyhow, it's worth checking into. Good Luck!

If you have a problem with Embroideryonline.com (which you shouldn't) PM me and I will give my dealer's number code to purchase through. I have asked them and they have given me permission.;)<br />OESD is Oklahoma embroidery supply and design.

Are you saying you can arrange for us to purchase the design packs? I really would love to get collection One, if there is any way without doing the additional purchase thing. I have a customer who wants that treetopper.
by jrob 16 Nov 2008
No, I'm saying if you have to give a dealer number to purchase I'd give mine out. The packs are $79.00 each.

Thanks for the info. Local dealers won't even discuss selling the collections unless I buy something else, and I don't really want to purchase something I don't need.

It is OESD, and was a gift with purchase from "your Bernina dealer". They also had the set with an Angel treetopper. I tried to buy the set outright and Bernina dealer said "NO WAY". I had to purchase something from her shop to get it. I think Shirlene has one of the sets. And one of our QTs did the treetopper and put it up in Projects. Would love to have them but not having any luck either. I believe "Dollarstitch" had an FSL sleigh and reindeer at one time. I just went and checked the Dollarstitch site..the sleigh and reindeer are in the retired projects section and on sale for $5.50 right now.

What the hey? I really get irritated with people like that who call themselves "dealers"--they're not, more like 'sewing nazis' (as in the 'soup nazi' from Seinfeld). I also have a super-wonderful dealer, North East Sewing & Vacuum, and I'm sure if you can't find it anywhere else, I can check with her what you need to do to get it. I think Debbie (debleer) is doing that OESD set, so maybe she will come along and help you. My dealer sells Janome & Bernina, but I used to go to quilting classes with my old JC Penney cast iron machine, never had a problem! Crikey, what a crock that is, not allowing you to purchase designs? I think it's a "purchase with purchase" deal, but if you're willing to buy what's on the list, why would that be a problem? Thank heavens there are still real dealers out there, and I have one. Good luck to you!! Marji
