Hi, I am new to machine embroidery. I have a small 2x2 inch logo that I would like to have digitized and put on a emb card for me. I do not have the read/writer or software. Any ideas??

Thanks for the welcome. I found a site to digitize. I need a way to write it to a Husqvarna card for my machine. I cannot justify the cost of the writer box and software. I will buy a card if someone can write a file to it for me. Will pay

Yes, I have usb ports. The older reader writer box uses parrallel port ( ihave that too. I was thinking if someone has the capability to write to cards, I could forward my .hus file and send a emb card via mail and that someone may write my design to that card and send it back. :)

What type of machine do you have? I have a Designer 1 that takes 3.5" disks. I did not have it changed to USB. I know the USB sticks takes .shv format. I also have a Husqvarna Iris and the USB reader/writer. There is also a d-card reader/writer for the Designer II, which is different from the other one. How cooperative is your dealer, mine would gladly add it to my card if necessary. Please give us some more info.

I have a Husqvarna Rose. It has a slot for a card, but I do not believe it is a d-card. It is older. I inherited this machine and was hoping to make it work. I am fascinated and I am eager to learn more and try before I jump in and invest in a more "modern" machine. Usb flashdrive capability is awesome, but way out of my budget right now. Thanks for your help.

Could you get a reader/writer on e-bay? It's so nice to be able to use freebies and not be totally depend on cards (which are rather pricey. Oh, but you would need the software as well, at least the customiser, and that would add to the price.

Do you have a dealer near you - maybe if you go in and ask they may be able to help. I have a janome which uses compact flash cards, and I plug the card directly into the cardreader slots on my computer. Depends how old your computer is and the type of card. Sorry I don't know much about husquvarna machines.

I spoke with a dealer yesterday and she told me that my machine is a relic. I have seen the reader/writer I think I need on ebay. However, it goes for about $200, and I don't think I want to invest $$$ in a relic.
