Hi Cuties,

I'm wondering what are some gift ideas that you make to have on hand, for when you need something quick.
Thanks for helping.

I would like some ideas for Christmas presents also. With the economy like this, I was going to make a lot of gifts instead of buying this year. It will probably cost just as much, but... :)

What about a plate of homemade cookies, wrapped in cellophane, always looks lovely, matching face washers and handtowels, handkerchiefs, Eddy Designs has in Freebees FSL some lovely little baskets with matching doilies, teatowels, placemats, Hope these help, though for Men its always hard even to buy gifts for!!

I make pillows with embroidery customized to the person receiving it. Also fleece blankets which can be purchased or sewn then decorated.

I do embroidered pillowcases. Have you taken a look at how expensive pillowcases are nowadays? Horrible! So, I buy twin size flat sheets and make my own pillowcases from them. I can get five cases from one sheet. I watch and get the high thread count sheets when they are on sale or clearance, since they make such nice cases. I either embroider them with vintage-type designs or do a monogram frame that I can then put initials into last minute for something more personalized.

Joye, I see you have wonderful answers - me, I always have FSL items on hand - Hehehe! Bookmarks, ornaments of all kinds and/or event, FS Lace to be attached to a table runner or pillow case, fingertip towels, emblished cards, handkerchiefs, and Tee's in several sizes and designs. I hope this helps - there is always a treasure box full - if you use your embroidery machine often enough.
