Hi all. I've been busy again, this time making a "foot muff" for my baby granddaughter's car seat. The snowman is a freebie, the snowflakes are assorted, some freebies, some my own and one is made up of her name (Erin) from http://www.abcnana4me.com/ and the girl and name on the turnover flap is one I drew and digitised myself. It's made of fleece and lined with a floral patterned fabric, I didn't use a pattern but just made it up as I went along but happily it fits!

Dianne, this is adorable - so many cute designs - but whatever is a foot muff?

Muffs are usually things you put your hands in to keep them warm, ear muffs fit over your ears to keep them warm, so a foot muff is something to put your feet in to keep them warm! It fits over the foot end of her car seat, it's elasticated underneath and has two loops of elastic at each side at the top which loop over a couple of handy buttons on the seat (the seat is like the first one on this page http://www.childcarseats.org.uk/types/index.htm - they're required by law in the UK)

What a great idea. I need to make one for my GD. Could you write up the dimensions, and instructions. It looks kind of like a purse without a closure. How do you attach it?
