A peggy stitch eraser. Before buying one, I asked around and some poeple told me that a hair clipper would do the same job for much cheaper (well, therre was a specific brand but I don't remeber which one). I tried a few hair clipper and none of them worked like the stitch eraser I ended up buying.

Peggy' stitch eraser it is. I have one but am not really sure it is worth the price. I have used it on commercial embroidery with pretty good luck but on my own not so much. It does not in my opinion work real great when you have a lot of very close silk stitchs especially at corners or points. Maybe others have had better luck.

I don't know about the stitch eraser but I have used a razor blade (the kind you use on your legs) and found it worked just fine. Just shave the back of the design and the stitches start falling out. It takes a few shaves with picking in between to get them all out. It is a lot cheaper than $99.

Try E-bay. I remember seeing them there but forget the other name other than Peggy's stitch eraser. I know that they were a lot cheaper than $99.00. If you get one, let us know how they work.

I bought a mens mustache trimmer for a lot less to do the same job...works like a charm....But I still like to use a razor blade if I have a small project to Un'stitch:)

I hate having to unstitch. I have been considering the Peggy Stitch Eraser, but right now am just using my tiny thread scissors, and a mini exacto knife. Neither works very well for close together stitches. I think I'll try the leg shaver next time... Thanks for the great question
