extension the file is. This happened once before and I remember it was an easy solution to change them back to look like a pes file (MW in blue). Any one know how to do this?

The icon reflects the default program that opens the file when you left click. To change it open a folder that contains a pes file. Under Tools, select folder options, and click on the file types tab. Scroll down the list until you find the PES file type and select it (one left click). In the lower part of the dialog box you will see "Details for PES files Opens with:" Here it will show the default program. Click "change" you will get a second dialog box that shows all the programs on your computer. Scroll down and select the program you wish to use for PES files. Click ok and close the boxes. You have now changed the default program for all PES files.

Did you upgrade your software? if so, that might be why the icon style changed. You will probably have to live with it.
