Sewing rooms are **supposed** to look junky, Monica!!! If our stuff isn't out where we can see it, how can we get all those great ideas?! Tell me all DH's tools in the garage are in exactly the right place & always put away, hee hee hee. And if they are, my next suggestion is to lock the sewing room door, hee hee hee. Monica, you are in a time crunch - don't worry - after Christmas - you will have plenty of time to straighten out the order of things - then you will start another project or four and it will look the same - Hehehe! I say - keep it where you can see it and use it - make it work for you - who cares what others think - Hehehe!

Mine was in the kitchen, but my DH moved my sewing stuff to the deposit room, and the floor is my table ... it's so hard to make this place a fancy one! :(

We are truly alike! I broke my toe about a month before leaving for my big trip when I stumbled over something in my sewing room! And had a huge bruise on one of my replaced knees! But was ok...at least could walk by the time I left for Israel! So, be careful in there! But "junky?" Naw, our sewing junk is treasures in disguise!

My sewing room is literally part of the dining room so I am obligated to clean it up when we have company over. It gets pretty cluttered the rest of the time. On the bright side it has built in cabinets and what should probably be used as a sideboard for a counter. The counter has a section that lifts out and has another counter under it to be used as desk, that's where I put my machines. I can be near the family and watch over dinner while I'm sewing.

Well mine is a mess at the moment as I have been sewing of course. I am lucky I have a big sewing room all to myself. If I tidy it up I can never remember where I put it, so I like it messy.
