Nov. Bobby died..Dec. computer fried and Jan. (today) I found mold in my sewing room! had to tear up carpet and now waiting for insurance company to call back on Monday to send adjuster out!. I will have to have the paneling (built in the early 60's) and drywall removed. seal the wall or window where it came in (last september when the backyard drained in) and then remodeled ...So I'm with out sewing/embroidery for at least a month..... Haven't quite figured out where the $$$ will come from IF insurance doesn't pay something for the damage. Ya know the money tree in the backyard hasn't had leaves for a long time! I sure Hope that 2009 is a much better year:) Barb

Barb, you are having to look at alot of issues - the one that you have not looking at is - that you will get through it - I am sure of that - I have a friend in CO - that her DH passed around the same time that Bobby did - she has had some troubles, too - she started a remodeling job - busted a ankle or something - is on crutches - has roaches - in that paneling and wood behind it - so things could be worse - she also found out that the insurance isn't paying for part of the hospital stay on her DH. But you know what - she is gong to get through it - just like you will - one day at a time - chin up. SMILE! I love you, Shirlene

THANX I'm also dealing with the insurance issue too... I don't feel completely overwhelmed YET! I know that things will get better, BUT it just seems that when I think I can handle everything something else goes wrong! If it were Not for CUTE I'm sure that I would have lost my mind a long time ago. THANX for caring:)

Put some fertilizer on that tree..(insurance) and maybe it will come through for you. Good luck, you could surely use some.

Your insurance will cover it, so don't let them tell you otherwise unless they have specifically written it into the policy. I'm so sorry, but at least bad things come in 3's and now you are done! Gosh, can't you move it someplace else until your sewing room gets finished? I think I could use the toilet down at the corner gas station and put my machine temporarily on the john, but everyone isn't as obsessive and I am......hahahah!

I'm going crazy not having SOMETHING on the machine right now...Will haul things up tomorrow and let me son know that I'm taking over MY kitchen! Thanx for the suggestion.. the gas station will just have to miss me!

Insurance man came yesterday and said that it WILL not be covered since the water came in thru a window or crack in the foundation! BUT since there is a drain in the bathroom next to it "IT" could have backed up and then gone back down and caused the damage. Tomorrow I will get the report and GO from there!
