I stitched this matched set for Melissa to carry during the wedding ceremony.
I thought they were really attractive, but neither of them stitched out as good as I thought they would... the outline at the top of both designs did not meet up with the fill and I had to put them in the machine and find a stitch wide enough to join them, hence if you look closely you'll see the fill is quite different along the tops and not well defined like the rest of them.
I did stitch these out on the Brother Innovis, which doesn't have a good slow speed, so I will try stitching them on the Diamond and see if the same thing happens. They are Sue Box Creation designs so I believe they should not have had the problem I mentioned.

Meg, I am shocked you had trouble with these designs - I have stitched them - many times and never had a one. They are still lovely.

Yes, i really think it was the machine, or maybe even the thread, I have ordered some Madeira White so look forward to trying that and using the Diamond, which has a slower speed. hnr, M

I,too, have stitched these designs out several times and they were flawless. What WSS were you using and a new needle?? I always use the slower speed on FSL because of such intense stitches. You will love the Madeira thread. Sue Box uses a thicker WSS, so try additional layers (Vilene is my preference). Her designs are much too stitch intensive for Solvy. Keep trying--these are such beautiful designs. Lj

Thanks for sharing. I was also doing embroidery again late last night and the thread kept breaking. I then took a short break made a cup of tea. When I went back I replaced the needle rethreaded the machine and I had no problem.

Thanks for showing these. It's such a pity when things don't stitch out as you had expected. The designs are beautiful and only in the heart the irregularity shows. Hopefully the Diamond does a better job.

These are both lovely Meganne, I have done the bell and the same thing happened to me in exactly the same area. I actually made 6 and strangely enough not all of them had to be doctored.I have a Janome 300E. I'm sure that Melissa will love them

Have you tried shelf liner in your hoop to help hold the stabilizer. I find this helps, but my designs still don't always stitch out as perfect as I would like. I think it is either my hoop or machine. I rubbed light sandpaper round the inside of my outer hoop because it was looking really slippery/shiny and that has also helped. (probably not recommended but I couldn't think of anything else that might work!)

I stitched out several of the bells for Chrismas and they are beautiful. I used diffeernt colors of metalic for the center design as you did, and didn't have any trouble.

I did the bell this Christmas and I had exactly the same problem, I also had to zigzag round the top edge to hold them together! They are very beautiful all the same and I would make them again and just be prepared to have to stitch them together! Love and flowers from Dianne x x x
