Hi castlyn, first you sew the side panels together at each side all except the last panel. Then you sew the base to the bottom of the panels and the last panel will then be sewn together...hope you can understand my directions......cause I can`t...lol

Hi Yvonne, there are a few ways, have you dissolved your wss, if not, try this, trim your wss as close as you can to you design without cutting your stitiching, then attach each bowl panel to the base section, so you have only the sides of the bowl to join. Then dissolve your design and when dry then join the panels together or you can do it the way Michele has described. Hope this can help you

Here is how I do them. I sew each panel in place to the base using my regular sewing machine on a narrow zig-zag stitch. Then, starting at the base and going to the edge, I zig-zag the panels together. You have to kind of crunch the basket sides a bit to get them sewn, but they usually straighten out fine afterward. Or, if you prefer, you can just whip-stitch them by hand. I prefer to rinse out the stabilizer (if it is FSL) after the bowl is assembled, and then place it over a glass or something in a shape/size similar to the bowl's to dry. The picture I'm attaching uses a simple four-side basket, but it is the same no matter how many sides you have.

I do mine like Cutiepie's instructions however I rinse the stabilizerr out first. I find it much easier to handle the pieces that way.

I have instructions on a CD from Anita-Goodesign that recommends NOT washing out the stabelizer before sewing the pieces together. Leaving it in keeps the shape/size consistant. Washing it out can distort the shape enough to make it difficult to line up the pieces. I've done it both ways and leaving the stabelizer in is much easier.
