I am not sure about this, but I believe you never have the temps I am experiencing in Wisconsin the past 2 weeks -1F and that is not with the windchill School closed for 2 days because the WC was -35F to -50F so I wish I was sweating right about now lol.

I'm jealous! I hate the cold, and it seems that winter came early this year, and has a pretty good hold on the area. OH...and I also envy your melting...I wish I could melt off a few inches. :)

Boy Raelene thats not good is it?? Haven't got to experience that degree of heat, here in Queensland I think the humidity is unbearable. Good luck with the next 8 days and good on your grandson for his sense of humour

RAE send me some of that heat..I was in Wisconsin at my Mom's and it was 17 below every morning...But I still got up and went snowmobiling 3 times...Here at home (near Chicago) it is a balmy 11f above zero, with light snow flurries:) Does that make you feel any cooler?? :) Maybe if ya just stitch snowflakes and snowmen you will feel cooler!

OK for 1 day but not for a week or more. I only hope it does end after the predicted 8 days & doesn't last 14day s like it did last year. Keep up your fluids & keep inside as much as possible!!

We will have a heat wave today. In West Virginia, at this time of year, when it gets to 45F we consider that a heat wave. LOL

I'm only here because it's way too hot to sleep - the bed feels like the electric blanket has been on for about 2 hours! Hugs and cool showers for all the Aussies - I wish it would rain!

The temp. is not so bad in NT QLD. its been raining for more than four days now. When it gets hot i fill up the bath tub. Leaving the water in the tub all day and sit in it as often as i can. *4U

Well, I was thinking of moving in with you, Raelene, but forget that!! I think I'll keep my 3 metres of snow. At least I can keep putting on sweaters, at 114F, I'd be taking off skin!!! Try to keep cool, is it that hot everywhere in Oz in the summer? Luv ya, Marji

oh Raelene, I can really sympathise with you but am really not jealous, I do prefer the cold -2°C we have in Germany (day temp). Where I grew up (Malta) summer lasts from june to october and heatwaves of over 40°C are quite normal but boy did I always do my best to avoid them (basically by escaping to Germany in summer!)

Just to put life into perspective where I live in Canada. Last week we had -30C and with the windchill added it was close to -49C. I had no problems with my allergies then. Today it is -18C and my allergies are bad again. Give me the cold anytime. My Daughter is in Sidney right now and she is loving it.

Wow lady, but I like the heat. I just pop n the pool to cool off. It's the cold I cannot handle. I cannot seem to get enough clothes on to b warm & if I do I feel like a stuffed sausage & can hardly move. LOL the cold makes my arthritis so stiff but heat keeps me limber. *

Can you send me some, I'm freezing. The snow is hip deep in the low spots and more to come. The road crews are using backhoes to move the snowbanks from the sides of the roads, some of them are higher than the houses. Poor Marji is worse off, she gets even more snow and can't get out. Her satelite dish fills up with snow she can't even go online.
