I have been sewing most of my life and embroidering since 2007. For some reason I decided to give embroider a try, that was my starting point. Not sure if I would like it, not expecting for it to last because I just didn't seem to have time, so I thought ;0

I didn't have anyone to teach me so I learned from you guys and others that have assisted me.

Continue to be the SUPPORTIVE GROUP that you are because many lives will be CHANGED and hearts enlighten ;) Whatever has bought you this way ENJOY your stay and may you gain much wisdom ;D

Mom taught me to sew on her old Singer, and to hand embroider & crochet. I got my Janome embroidery machine 2 years ago, because I had seen my friend Roxanne's about 10 years previous to that, and coveted it ever since. And my 300E does so much more than her 3000 dollar one ever thought of doing!! Progress on these machines is exponential, just like all computers. Neat question, Monica! Luv ya, Marji

Been sewing since a teenager. Just started machine embroidery about 4 years ago. I started with a Scav. 300 because I needed a new sewing machine. The old Viking just gave out. It was purchased in 1975. Since I was still working I didn't get to use it much. About 1 year ago I traded up and got the Designer SE. That's when I really got into embroidery and fell in love with it. Retirement also provided the time to spend!

Sewing since my 43 yr. old was born & I made lots of his clothes to save money. When 1st grand daughter was born I got a Viking Rose so I could do embroidery. Been embroidering since! Up to a Viking Diamond now! But this is my LAST machine...no matter what they come out with next! I love all the hints, etc on Cute Emb. Only site I actually "talk" on.

Had to go look it up! I bought my Janome 10001 in October 2004 and caught the embroidery bug! Most of what I make is either for my daughters or given away as gifts. I've been sewing since I was about 10. My grandparents bought me an old black Singer when I was 13. Only sews straight stitch and I still have her!

I took sewing lessons at the local Singer store when I was 9. bought my first machine (a used 1963 Pfaff)in 77 Updated to a new Pfaff 1472 in 93 and got my brother pe150 from my kids for Christmas 4 yrs ago..Learned to knit in 1968 and taught myself to crochet. Used to do needlepoint and X-stitch, by my arms aren't long enough or the bifocals strong enough:) Can't STOP working on Something ALL the time. I imagine Heaven will have all my "projects" finished so I can start on new ones! LOL

started sewing at school at 12 then had break till I inherited my mothers Bernina in 74, and I made all my childrens clothes. Interest in embroidery started in 2001 when I bought my Brother machine but it didn't take off till I retired 2 years ago. Used to hand knit till I had my children then bought a machine which I used a lot and made jumpers for sale. No longer knit but have a lot of ideas for embroidery for this year. Jo

I have been sewing since I was a teenager. I learned hand embroidery then. After I was married I learned how to knit and to crochet. I just started machine embroidery in 2006. I am self taught on that with help from lots of tutorials and from this group who has been a big big help. I love it.

I've been sewing, embroidering, knitting, crocheting since I was very young. Taught myself tatting from a book when I was 12, later started bobbin lace making. Bought my first sewing machine in 1963, a Brother Galaxy in 1992 and never looked back. Got the digitizing bug in 1998. Started surfing the internet in 2007, actually this was the first site I came to, and have enjoyed it from day 1.
